Before you publish: the bracketed items below are the only things that cannot be written from the software itself — your legal entity, its address, the law you want to govern this, and a contact address. Fill them in, and have a solicitor read the whole thing. Children's services and card payments are the two areas where getting this wrong is expensive, and nothing here is legal advice.
Robo's AI Academy ("the Academy", "we", "us") is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You can reach us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Subscribers can also open a ticket in the Parent Room and a person will read it.
The Academy is a web game that teaches children roughly 7 and older how AI works. It installs like an app and runs in a browser. There is no separate software to buy and no app store involved.
It is for use by a child with a grown-up's knowledge. The account belongs to you, the adult. Your child does not have an account and cannot create one.
Free gives you AI School — Train Robo, Word Wizard, Magic Words and True or Silly? — with no account required, no time limit, and no card. It is not a trial and we do not intend to take it away.
Premium adds the rest of the island, the higher levels, the Arcade, the printable diploma, the AI Buddy, and support by ticket.
We may add, change or retire activities. If we remove something significant from Premium we will say so by email.
The AI Buddy connects your child to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Some things about it you should decide on knowingly:
Please do not: resell or share access outside your household; try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service; use the AI Buddy to generate anything unlawful or to attempt to bypass its safety brief; scrape it; or use it in a school or nursery setting without asking us first (we will probably say yes).
Drawings, games and stories your child creates are theirs. We claim no ownership. For subscribers we store a copy so it appears on your other devices — only so we can show it back to you. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not publish it.
The Academy itself — its code, artwork, characters and text — stays ours.
We will try to keep it up, but this is a small operation and we do not promise any particular uptime. The offline part of the Academy keeps working without us: once loaded it runs with no network at all. The AI Buddy needs both our server and Anthropic's to be reachable.
The Academy is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory consumer rights. [HAVE A SOLICITOR CHECK THIS CLAUSE FOR YOUR JURISDICTION]
Delete your account whenever you like, from the Parent Room. It removes your email, your password hash, your subscription record, your support tickets and any saved progress from our server. Anything on your child's own device is untouched — we could not reach it if we wanted to.
We may end your access if these terms are being broken, or if we shut the service down. If we shut down we will give notice by email and refund any period already paid for.
If we change these terms we will update the version at the top. For changes that materially affect you we will email the address on your account before they take effect. Continuing to use the Academy after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer you keep the protections of your own country's law.
